Equipment
Ball
The ball must be oval and made of four panels. It must be 280 to 300mm in length, 740 to 770mm in circumference (end to end) and 580 to 620mm in circumference (width). Additionally, it must weigh 410 to 460g and should be made of leather or other synthetic materials and is usually mainly white.
Uniform
The mandatory kit includes a jersey, shorts, socks and boots. The uniform must not clash with the opposing team. A player may wear shin guards, mitts (finger-less gloves), shoulder pads or headgear that must all conform to IRB specifications. It is advised for players to wear a mouth guard.
