Team Scotland 2014 – General Team Management Opportunities

With planning well underway for Scotland’s participation in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Commonwealth Games Scotland is now looking to appoint a number of key positions to its General Team Management. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced, dynamic individuals to be involved at the heart of Team Scotland operations for a once in a lifetime home Games experience.
Deputy Head of Medical Services/ Head Physiotherapist – The post holder will be responsible for the leadership and management of the physiotherapy team delivering multi-disciplinary services to all Team Scotland members. They will also have a role in the direct delivery of physiotherapy services to team members.
Deputy General Team Manager, Transport and Logistics - The post holder will be responsible for Team Scotland’s general transportation to and at the Games, as well as the management of all team freight and equipment.
Deputy General Team Manager, Village - The post holder will be responsible for Team Scotland’s main and satellite Village accommodation and will also be first point of contact for athletes on non-sport related issues, including external activities.
All three posts would suit people with previous experience of working at a multi-sport event. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of all stakeholder groups and have the ability to work under pressure during Games time. Applicants must be well organised, work in a structured manner, be resourceful as well as being good team players.
