COMMONWEALTH GAMES DELHI 2010 – MEDIA ACCREDITATION PROCESS
Commonwealth Games Scotland (CGS) has recently received confirmation of the process for media accreditation for the next Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi this year when Team Scotland will be in action. In addition, during the Delhi 2010 Closing Ceremony the Commonwealth Games Federation flag will be handed over to Glasgow as the host city for the XX Commonwealth Games in 2014.
The accreditation process for Delhi will open in April 2010 and CGS will be responsible for accrediting the written press, online journalists (non-video) and photographers. Rights-holding broadcasters will have their own quota of accreditations and anyone connected with this group of broadcasters should deal direct with their own head of operations.
As timescales are quite tight, particularly in terms of booking accommodation, please let us know if your organisation (or yourself as a freelancer) plan(s) to attend the Games either in a sport or news capacity. Please provide a name, email address and mobile phone number of the journalist you propose to send to the Games. This will help us to ensure we include them in any briefings and add them to our mailing list to send them the official accreditation application form.
