Preparing for and attending the 2008 Youth Games and 2010 Commonwealth Games will require over £1 million. Although Commonwealth Games Scotland (CGS) receives core operational support funding from the Scottish Government via sportscotland, participation in each Games is dependent on sponsors and suppliers. We rely on the generosity of the Scottish business sector and public through donations. We welcome individuals and companies joining us to become part of our wider team, for without your backing, Scotland would not be able to participate in the Games.
Current Partners are Clydesdale Bank in the Finance category and Emirates in the Airlines category. Kukri is the clothing supplier for the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games. Privileges are available to team sponsors of the Commonwealth Youth Games 2008 and 2010 Commonwealth Games. The number and type of benefits are negotiable dependent on the size and type of partnership.
