Michael was elected Chairman in November 2007. He first joined the Board in 2003. Michael is a former Scottish Games team member at a number of levels. Having first wrestled for Scotland in 1979, Michael wrestled at the 1982 Commonwealth Games, was Wrestling Coach at the 1994 Games and Wrestling Team Manager in 2002. In 2006 Michael was Assistant General Team Manager with responsibility for the Village and Athlete Liaison. Michael has managed British Teams at World wrestling championships and other major international events.
Currently Michael is Manager of the East of Scotland Institute of Sport, President of the Scottish Wrestling Association, a director of British Wrestling Association Ltd and was the 2004 Olympic Team Manager for Wrestling. |

Fiona was elected to the post of Vice Chairman in November 2007. She has served 3 terms as a Board member joining the Games Council as an Executive member in 1995. Fiona was Badminton Team Manager in 1994 in Victoria and again at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Games, Village Manager at the 2000 Millennium Youth Games and Assistant General Team Manager with Village responsibilities in 2002. In 2006 she was amongst the Scottish Centre staff in Melbourne leading on the "Adopt a Second Team" programme.
A past President and current Board member of Badminton Scotland, Fiona was also Team Manager at numerous Badminton World, European and Thomas and Uber Cup Championships. |

Douglas Brown

Initially Douglas was involved with swimming as a coach and as a arent with four children, all competitive swimmers. Later, he served the East District as a coach and team manager, Scottish Swimming as National Swimming Convenor, the ASFGB Committee as a member and as chairman of their Swimming Technical Committee and more recently as a member of the Board of Management of Scottish Swimming. He has contributed in various roles to the organisation of many international meets from European Championships to World Cup events.
His first involvement with the Games was as Aquatics Co-ordinator in 1986 and then as a member of Council over several years. He is now serving his third and final term as Hon. Secretary being reelected to that position in 2007 for the period to 2011. |

An Executive Board Member since 1999, Peter was elected Hon. Treasurer to the Games Council in 2008. A member of the 2000 Millennium Youth Games Organising Committee he also directed the Tennis competition; he directed the Scottish Centre in Manchester that hosted the friends and supporters of the 2002 Bank of Scotland Scottish Team; he was our Caledonian society liaison in melbourne 2006; he has been a member of the Selection Committee since 2001, and he played an active role in supporting the Glasgow 2014 Bid process, including acting as Scotland's representative on the Nigeria Bid site visit.
A previous President and Board member of Tennis Scotland, Pete strill chairs the Scottish Tennis championships, Scotland's premier international tennis event, and referees several other regional tennis tournaments. With broad playing, coaching and parental interests in several sports at national level, he has represented Scottish universities at football, captained East of Scotland at tennis, won several club squash titles, and is a qualified tennis coach. Professionally he uses his actuarial/IT experience to provide Change Management services within the Financial Services sector.

Louise was first elected to Commonwealth Games Council in 1995 and has served 2 terms as Chairman, the first woman to hold this post at CGS. She is also currently the Commonwealth Games Federation Honorary Secretary, being re-elected unopposed for a third term in November 2007.
Involved in the Games both as a competitor and an administrator, Louise competed in the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth, Australia where she made the swimming finals in 100m and 200m backstroke. She has also represented Scottish Gymnastics on the Scottish Commonwealth Games Council and was Gymnastics Team Manager at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada, and deputy General Team Manager in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia 4 years later.
In May 2008, Louise was appointed as Chairman of the national sports agency, sportscotland after previously serving on the Boards of both sportscotland and the Scottish Institute of Sport. She sits on the Board of UK Sport, on the Scottish Sports Aid Foundation, the Commonwealth Sports Awards Foundation and has just relinquished office on the Board of Active Stirling.
In December 2002 Louise was named as the Sunday Times Sports Administrator of the Year. In 2003 she was awarded the CBE in the New Year’s Honours List for services to Commonwealth Games. Louise successfully led Scotland's bid to bring the 2014 Commonwealth Games to Glasgow and in recognition of her contribution to Scottish sport was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Abertay. |

Elected to the Games Council as Honorary Legal Advisor in 1987, Colin was elected Chairman in 1995 and since 1999 has also served as Past Chairman. Colin won a silver medal in Fullbore Shooting for Scotland at the 1974 Commonwealth Games in New Zealand. Since then he has been depute General Team Manager for the Scottish team at the 1994 Games and in 1998 was the General Team Manager. Colin is currently a Board member of the Scottish Target Shooting Federation. |

Joan Watt

A chartered Physiotherapist Joan was elected to the Games Council as Honorary Medical Advisor in 2003. Joan has contributed to Scottish Commonwealth Games teams in her role as physiotherapist at each Games since 1982 and was Senior Physiotherapist in 1994 and Joint Head Physiotherapist in 1998.
In 2006 Joan was the Shooting Team Manager. Joan has also served as lead physiotherapist at Olympic Games, World and European Championships for Athletics and Shooting amongst other sports. Instrumental in establishing the British Sports Massage Association, Joan is a former Chairperson of Scottish Athletics. |

Dr Ian Edmond - Athlete Representative

World Championship silver medallist in 200m Breastroke, Ian competed in Kuala Lumpur in 1998 and Manchester in 2002 and in the 2004 Olympics. In 2001 he broke David Wilkie's Scottish record for 200m breaststroke, set at the Montreal Olympics 25 years earlier.
He retired from swimming in 2004, after the Athens Olympics, to resume his medical career.
