If you are one of our former Games Team members, know of their whereabouts or wish to contact them, then we want to hear from you. The CGCS are keen to help our past athletes and support staff get in touch with one another through the establishment of the Thistle Club. This will be a special group of all those who have shared the unique experience of representing Scotland at the Games.
1962 Team member and past Chairman of the Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland, Louise Martin CBE said: "Our former team members have often stated that the Games were one of the highlights of their life. The formation of the Thistle Club will enable them to renew acquaintances with others who shared the honour of wearing the thistle. It will also provide an oportunity to meet and support those representing Scotland at future Games."
The CGCS started seeking past Team members in March 2002. To date we have made contact with over 600 former team members.
Those wishing to register should complete the form online or print off and return to the Games Office by post at CGCS, University of Stirling, Stirling, FK9 4LA, by fax on 01786 466481 or email [email protected] and you can also find out about other team members.
