The Commonwealth Games Council has an ongoing programme of events, to increase public awareness as each Games approaches and for fundraising purposes.

We receive core operational support funding from the Scottish Executive via sportscotland and recently the Scottish Executive has established a CGCS endowment fund. We have to match this amount through fundraising, via events and dinners, to ensure Scotland's continuing participation in Commonwealth Games in the future.
